I absolutely loved this book, all of Sarah Dessen’s books are amazing and worth reading.

Crank is a book, written in poetry form, about a high-schooler named Kristina, who is a good kid until she goes to visit her dad, who she hasn’t seen in years. When she goes there for the summer, she finds love for a boy, and. . .substance.

This is a simply AMAZING book, about a good girl’s struggle with meth. I thought this book displays everything so well, you feel all her emotions, as she looks for love, drugs, and people who will accept her. I especially find the ending tasteful, as this book definitely delivers the unexpected, even though the clues are all right there.

The Forest of Hands and Teeth  is a book about a young teen (Mary) who lives in one of the last villages in the whole world, or at least that’s what they tell her. The unconsecrated, which are basically zombies, are a constant threat to the village, and so they aren’t allowed outside the fences. When the unconsecrated invade her village, she is forced outside of the fences into the forest of unknown. The majority of the book takes place in the Forest of Hands and Teeth, as she and other survivors try finding safe places and other survivors.

I really liked this book, I thought it was great, as you try to figure out what time period this takes place in. I would suggest this book to more experienced readers, as this book tends to use bigger words, and is set at a slower pace than some people would prefer. After the first book, the second book starts off with her daughter, and shows you how things in Mary’s world changes in her daughter’s world. So far, there are three books in the Hands and Teeth Series.
